A Conversation with Alicia
Alicia and I kept trying to chat but there we were having too much fun constructing the new chicken palace! This conversation finally happened as she was on a train down to Boston, headed home, and I was out for a walk on a blustery late winter day. Alicia is a wonderful WWOOFer turned friend, a kitchen organizing queen and a lover of all chickens. We cannot wait until her next visit and I hope you enjoy our conversation as much as I did!
A Conversation With Ryan
As a bunch of tourists headed back onto their cruise ship, Ryan and I settled on a bench to chat, catch the full moon rise, and watch the cruise ship depart and head towards open seas once again. Ryan has a unique perspective on the farm and a brilliant brain meant for building all sorts of things. I thoroughly enjoyed our conversation and I hope you do too.

A Conversation with Ava & Catherine
With thunder as our ambience, Ava, Catherine and I sat on the picnic table near the bee house to chat about their stay here. The conversation was full of laughter and insight, a true reflection of what they gifted the farm. It was lovely to get to know them a little better, we cannot wait to see them back in Maine some time soon!
Twenty Six
Getting to teach others, especially kids, about where our food comes is one of the most important things in my life that feeds me.
A Conversation with Ariel
On her last morning at the farm Ariel and I sat inside, escaping the summer heat, for a conversation about her time here and her thoughts on the future of our food systems. At the end of our conversation you’ll find a poem that Ariel wrote for the farm which perfectly encapsulates her time here.
A Conversation with Nigar
Nigar is a wonderful human and inventor of the shower bucket! On a warm spring day, while planting our kitchen garden, we talked about all things farm and food!
Not From Here. Yet.
My short shadow as I bask in the noon-time summer sun. Probably patiently awaiting another soft serve swirl with rainbow sprinkles from my favorite ice cream shop.
Overwhelmed By Spring
Some bright green Trout Lillies blanketing the forest floor; yet another color my winter weary eyes have had to adjust to this spring,
A Conversation with Frances
Frances is an graphic designer, athlete, Paelle lover and all around awesome human! She designed the logo for Crowded Table and we couldn’t be more pleased by it! If you need anything graphically designed, she is the woman for the job!
The Tinder Conk and the Spark: A Love Story
A Tinder Conk I saw recently on the farm recently ready to hold a spark and carry it to it’s next fire.
A Conversation with Sue and Holly
Sue Mack and Holly Morrison are the owners and land stewards of Tir Na Nog Farm! In this conversation we talk about the history of the farm and what they think the best feeling as a farmer is.
Winter’s Wisdom
Rona, one of the farm dogs, reminding me that sometimes patience is the best form of action.
